International Conference "National Cultures in Modern World" took place in Abkhazia

The International Scientific Conference "National Cultures in Modern World" was held at the Abkhazian Institute of Humanitarian Studies on October 22-24. Scientists from the Institute of World Literature named after Gorky of the Russian Academy of Sciences, specialists in study of literature from Moscow, Maikop and Nalchik took part in the conference.

"This meeting for us is something more that just a scientific conference. It is an attempt to show our support to the Abkhazian people at this moment of history by our means and in our philological language. Here we see traces of vandalism, which can not be hidden, on one hand, and, on the other hand, the fact of the country's revival, young and beautiful faces looking ahead with hope makes a strong impression," said Doctor of Philological Sciences Anatoly Chagin.
