Tent camp "Bella" does not exist any longer

The tent camp "Bella", which was situated on the outskirt of the Ordzhonikidzevskaya village, Ingushetia's Sunzha district, ceased to exist de facto and de jure on October 1. The last two tents were carried from the former place of temporary accommodation "Bella" to the neighboring camp of Chechen refugees "Satsita" yesterday.

The tent camp "Bella" was set up in the autumn of 2001. And it was considered to be one of the largest places of Chechen refugees' compact residence in Ingushetia.

In the opinion of local human rights activists, the "Bella" closure action is just the first step towards the forced liquidation of places of the compact residence of Chechen refugees on the Ingush territory.
