79-year-old refugee from Abkhazia starts hunger strike at memorial in Tbilisi
Nino Tsindeliani, 79, a woman-refugee from Abkhazia, who remained homeless, has gone on hunger strike in Heroes Square in central Tbilisi, at the memorial of perished fighters for territorial integrity of Georgia.
On August 13, Ms Tsindeliani was evicted, together with other refugee families from Abkhazia, out of the buildings located in the territory of former Russian military hospital in Isani.
After eviction, she had to live in the open air, and she went on hunger strike at the memorial, which bears the surname of her son - Zurab Vibliani, - who perished in the Abkhazian war, the of is cut, the IA "News-Georgia" writes.
So far, the authorities gave no reaction to the hunger strike of the elderly woman.
