Gas main damaged at explosion of militia car in Kabardino-Balkaria
When at night a Ural armoured truck with OMON (special militia) fighters inside was blown up, the gas pipeline Elborus-Terskol was damaged.
When the bomb was triggered on the road shoulder, five OMON fighters from Nizhniy Novgorod were slightly contused.
Gas supply to several dwelling settlements of the district was stopped, the ITAR-TASS reports.
According to the website "Kabardino-Balkaria. World and We", the damage of the 200 mm diameter gas pipeline is significant.
