Ethnographer Aslan Tsipinov assassinated in Kabardino-Balkaria

Tonight it became known about the murder in Nalchik of Aslan Tsipinov, an ethnographer and Doctor of Historical Sciences.

Aslan Tsipinov, 51, was invited to go out of his house in the village of Shalushka, Chegem District, by two men, who arrived in a car. The criminals shot Tsipinov twice in the head; he died immediately. This was reported by the spokesman of the Investigatory Department for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the ICPO.

The Investigatory Division of the above Department for the Chegem District instituted criminal proceedings under Articles 105 and 222 (murder and illegal arms circulation).

Aslan Tsipinov was engaged in propaganda of Kabardian national customs and traditions.
