Mass media coverage of interethnic relations in Stavropol Territory

The information and analytical round table discussion "Mass Media in Stavropol Territory: Coverage of Interethnic Relations" took place at the Pyatigorsk Branch of the North Caucasian Academy of Public Service on November 27. It was devoted to tendencies in the making of ethnic journalism in Stavropol Territory, particularly, to the approach and strategy of the mass media, NGOs and the State to overcome problems of animosity and ethnic intolerance.

Government officials, journalists and correspondents of paper and electronic media of Stavropol Territory, leaders and members of national cultural associations were participants in the discussion. The action was arranged with the assistance of the information and analytical Internet agency "Caucasian Knot", the Memorial Society, and the Open Society Institute.
