Citizen of Armenia injured by explosion in Minsk metro

Samvel Saakyan, a citizen of Armenia, suffered in the explosion, which was triggered yesterday, on April 11, in the Minsk metro; his health condition is regarded as of moderate gravity.

According to Belarusian sources, the terror act took away 12 lives; in total, 157 persons were hospitalized; 26 of them are in grave condition.

As reported by Anatoly Nasuto, deputy chief physician of the 9th City Hospital in Minsk, Saakyan has "a barotrauma of the auditory passage and outer ear. The condition is quite compensated and is regarded as moderate gravity, the IA "News-Armenia" reports.

The explosion at the Oktyabrskaya station in Minsk was triggered when the subway was highly crowded. The General Prosecutor's Office of Belarus has qualified the incident as a terror act.
