"Society of Peoples Under Threat of Elimination" collects signatures of Austrians demanding to stop war in Chechnya
The Austrian international human rights organization "Society of Peoples Under Threat of Elimination" has collected 10,000 signatures of Austrian citizens demanding to stop war in Chechnya, reported a member of the Chechen Diaspora in Austria.
Leaders of the organization and members of the Chechen Diaspora in Austria are going to hand in these 10,000 signatures to the head of the Austrian state in early January 2004, asking him to deliver them to the President of Russia. By such an action, they expect to draw attention of the Russian and world public to the tragic lot of the Chechen people one more time.
