Armenian Foreign Minister accused his Azerbaijan colleague of telling lies

On the last day of the annual OSCE Ministerial Council in Maastricht, December 2, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian asked for the floor for the second time after the speech of his Azerbaijan colleague Vilayat Guliyev and accused the Azerbaijan Foreign Minister of telling lies.

Mr. Oskanian apologized to the conference participants for using the non-diplomatic vocabulary, noting that he, in the presence of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen and OSCE representatives, had come to the agreement with Mr. Guliyev about the final text of the statement by the OSCE Ministerial Council on the Karabakh problem, which had been worked out the day before.

However, later, at a plenary session of the Ministerial Council, Vilayat Guliyev declared he and Mr. Oskanian had reached no consensus on the contents of the above mentioned document.
