Rights defender Tamara Karastelyova will be buried today in Novorossiysk

Tamara Karastelyova, Director of the Novorossiysk Human Rights Committee (NHRC) and human rights defender died on December 3 in Georgia, where she lived for the last two years and took her treatment of acute leukaemia.

Karastelyova was 44 years old. At present, the body of the human rights defender is delivered to the Krasnodar Territory.

Last night, on December 8, Tamara's husband and rights defender Vadim Karastelyov, who is engaged in transporting his wife's body from Tbilisi to Kuban, crossed the Georgian-Russian border.

The funeral of Tamara Karastelyova will take place today in Novorossiysk.
