In Azerbaijan, a businessman tries to burn himself down

In the Azerbaijani city of Sheki, a local businessman made an attempt of self-immolation, claiming violation of his rights.

According to Irada Djavadova, the chair of the NGO "Public Union for Human Rights Education", the cause of the incident was in violation of the businessman's rights admitted by the managers of the local marketplace.

Alovsat Mutallimov tried to put himself on fire after pouring gasoline over himself at the administrative building of the JSC "Sheki Bazaar", the APA Agency reports.

The businessman remained alive, the "News of Azerbaijan" reports.

So far, there are no comments of the bosses of the JSC "Sheki Bazaar" on the incident.
