In Dagestan, head of Bar Association "Kavkaz" attributes search in his house to case on Sagidmagomedov's murder
Last night, in the village of Semender in Dagestan, a search was conducted at the house of Makhach Guchachliev, the head of the Bar Association "Kavkaz". This was reported the lawyer himself.
A special operation was planned in the house of Makhach Guchachliev, the lawyer himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"I attribute these actions to the fact that our Bar Association conducts its own investigation into the murder of Umar Sagidmagomedov. The very fact of murder was tried to be presented as a special operation; however, we have conducted our own investigation and its results do not coincide with the official version," the lawyer said.
"Power agents adhere to the version that Umar was killed by return fire; however, we have evidence that it was not true. We are busy with our own investigation to prove at the court that we are right. Perhaps, the power agents do not like our behaviour, so, they decided to put psychological pressure on me by conducting searches," the head of the Bar Association has emphasized.
He described how the search was conducted. "I visited the city on business. At 2:00 a.m., my frightened wife phoned me. She said that the house was completely cordoned off by armed men. I quickly went home. In fact, the house was completely blocked by power agents. I asked them: 'What's the matter?' They gave me a receiver. I had a conversation with a man who introduced himself as a FSB officer. He said they received information that militants were hiding in the house and that the house was to be searched. I gave my consent to search, several power agents entered the house together with me; they searched the entire house and left without finding anything," Makhach Guchachliev said.
The Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) did not confirm the information on conducting the search at the lawyer's house.
