During the week of March 5-11, 15 persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

At least 15 persons suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in the period of March 5-11: 13 persons were killed and 2 wounded. These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot", based on own materials and information from other public sources.

The number of the deceased persons includes 6 police officers and 2 civilians. 5 suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs), including a woman-suicide bomber, were killed. 2 law enforcement agents were wounded. All the victims were the citizens of Dagestan.

On March 6, a woman-suicide bomber blew herself up at the police post in the village of Karabudakhkent in Dagestan. The terror act killed 5 police men, and other 2 police men were seriously wounded. Health states of the wounded men are stable.

To identify the woman-suicide bomber, several examinations, including a genetic one, were planned. The suicide bomber was Aminat Ibragimova, the widow of Zaur Zagirov, the leader of the Caspian grouping of militants, who was killed in February in Dagestan during a special operation in the armed resistance to law enforcement agents.

According to Magomedsalam Magomedov, the leader of Dagestan, the families of police officers killed in the terror act in Karabudakhkent, will receive material assistance.
