Relatives of Akav Khalidov, disappeared Dagestani resident, intend to hold rally in Kizilyurt

In Kizilyurt, the meeting of relatives of Akav Khalidov, a disappeared resident of the village of Chontaul, is scheduled for March 22. The participants of the rally intend to declare inaction of the investigatory agencies of the Kizilyurt District and the Republic of Dagestan. This was stated by Rashidat Khalidova, the wife of the disappeared man.

On March 1, Rashidat Khalidova, the resident of the village of Chontaul of the Kizilyurt District, reported on disappearance of the 28-year-old Akav Khalidov, her husband. According to her, the day before the kidnapping, Akav Khalidov was twice stopped by the police: first, at the Central market in Kizilyurt, and later on the Sultanyangiyurt patrol post.

"On March 22, at 10:00 a.m., we intend to gather in Kizilyurt, in Gagarin Street, for a rally. The action is sanctioned by the city authorities," the relatives of the disappeared man explained the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"At the rally, the relatives will again voice their demands to find Akav Khalidov. Yet on March 1, I filed a complaint to the Investigatory Committee of Kizilyurt about the disappearance of my husband. However, till present, I was not informed about the decision and about the measures taken to reveal his whereabouts," stated Rashidat Khalidova.

According to the lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova, the criminal case on the fact of traceless disappearance of the man has not been instituted yet.

At present, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments from the investigatory agencies and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on relatives' allegations about inaction of law enforcement agents.
