In Astrakhan, participants of political hunger strike declare break of information blockade

In Astrakhan, the indefinite hunger strike, announced on March 15, continues. Hunger strikers continue to monitor their own health by themselves, and they organized their own medical team. According to them, the information blockade around the hunger strike grows weaker.

18 persons participate in the protest action. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports with reference to the protesters that, after a long silence, the information about the hunger strike began appearing in the newspapers of the city of Astrakhan. Local TV Channels still do not highlight the hunger strike.

Oleg Shein writes in his blog that Astrakhan residents learned about the hunger strike from the Internet and the federal mass media. According to him, the information blockade around the participants of the hunger strike was broken also due to the "Caucasian Knot".

Oleg Shein has also stated that "the Central Election Commission (CEC) actually started the inspection", and, in particular, it began to view records from the webcams installed at the electoral precincts. On March 22, Mironov initiated the decision to send the special parliamentary commission to Astrakhan.

Comments of the CEC are still not available.
