In Makhachkala, Gadji Isadibirov surrenders under guarantees of Dagestani leader

Today, Gadji Isadibirov, a suspect of involvement in the armed underground, who had been blocked in an apartment in a high-rise building in Makhachkala, has surrendered after negotiations under the personal guarantees of the head of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov.

Apart from Isadibirov, his wife with a baby was in the blocked flat; and one of negotiators was Rizvan Kurbanov, the head of the commission under the head of Dagestan to assist militants in adapting to peaceful life.

Mr Kurbanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Shamil Mutaev, a member of the above commission had been sent to negotiate; he entered the flat. After many hours of negotiations, including with the participation of Rizvan Kurbanov on the phone, Isadibirov agreed to surrender under the personal guarantees of the leader of Dagestan.

"Should Isadibirov had refused to surrender, special agents would have stormed the flat; casualties were almost inevitable in this case. We explained to the detainee Isadibirov that the head of Dagestan had personally guaranteed him an objective investigation in accordance with the law," said Rizvan Kurbanov.

According to his story, all the future special operations will always assume a chance to negotiate with IAF members about their voluntary surrender, and only in case of their refusal, a decision will be made about their forceful seizure.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Gadji Isadibirov or his relatives on the information about his involvement in IAFs.
