Judge Novikov's mother from Sochi stops her pickets

In Moscow, Tamara Novikova, the mother and defender of Judge Dmitry Novikov, has suspended her solo pickets until Monday, April 2, hoping to have her problem solved by the Ministry of Justice.

"I agreed, because for me it is important to solve the problem. The employee who came out to me introduced himself as Vladimir Mikhailovich Popov, the head of the reception office for public relations," Tamara Novikova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, Mr Popov asked her to write a complaint addressed to the Minister of Justice and outline her problem:

"I wrote an application and gave it to Popov. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. I was waiting for the promised meeting with the Minister of Justice Alexander Konovalov, but at 1 p.m. I was notified that Konovalov went away to have lunch. In the afternoon, Konovalov, as I was told, did not return, but they promised to deal with my application until Monday."

"If the problem is not settled on Monday, as they promised to me, I'll go out to a picket again," said the mother and defender of Judge Novikov; the woman believes that she has no other choice.
