Local resident kidnapped in Dagestan, his relatives report

In Makhachkala, unidentified persons have kidnapped Allakhverdi Radjabov; his relatives are sure that it was done by power agents. However, the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan assert that Allakhverdi Radjabov was not detained and does not figure in any criminal cases.

"Allakhverdi was kidnapped on March 25 at 6:30 p.m. Moscow time near No. 57 in Shamil Street. He drove his car up to his girlfriend. After she got into the car, unidentified masked men dressed in camouflage and black uniform, blocked the car," one of the relatives of the missing person, who asked not to name him out of fear for his safety, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"According to eyewitnesses, about 8-10 men in camouflage arrived in three cars. First they dragged the girl out of the car under the threat of using firearms. Then, they took away her mobile phone and let her go. After that, the kidnappers tied up Radjabov and took him away together with his car," said the relative.

Allakhverdi Radjabov, 28, works as an accountant for the construction company named "Arsi". According to his relatives, "the kidnapping could be related to Magomed Murzabekov, detained on March 12 for firearm possession; Magomed is the husband of Allakhverdi's second cousin."

As reported by Radjabov's relatives, they had appealed to the Centre to Counteract Extremism of the Dagestan MIA.

"The head of the Centre Akhmed Batalaiev has assured us that "the person with such data had not been detained by his employees, and was not registered as a person, causing operative interest," the relative told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The correspondent was told at the Dagestani MIA that the missing Radjabov had not been detained and did not figure in any cases.
