Georgian Armenians ask Tbilisi authorities to allocate land for memorial to genocide victims

In Georgia, the Armenian Diaspora has addressed the Mayoralty of Tbilisi asking to allocate a land plot for building a memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923. This was reported by the press service of the "Community of Georgian Armenians".

"We ask to examine our just request, to meet it and allocate the appropriate territory in Tbilisi to establish a memorial to the victims of the Armenian genocide of 1915-1923," reads the appeal of the Diaspora.

The petition to the Mayoralty was signed by the "Community of Georgian Armenians", "Students' Association of Armenian Community", "Youth Union of Armenian Community", and "Youth Union of Armenian Community of Georgia".

"The activists of our Diaspora have repeatedly addressed the Mayoralty asking to allocate land for the memorial," the spokesman of the "Community of Georgian Armenians" said in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
