Pakhomov meets tenants of dilapidated house in Sochi and promises help

Today, the Mayor of Sochi Anatoly Pakhomov has met the tenants of the shabby house No. 3 in Petropavlovskaya Street and promised them to set up a commission for recognition of the house to be an emergency building and their resettlement to comfortable housing, the participants of the meeting with the Mayor said.

The "Caucasian Knot" wrote about the problems of the tenants of this house. For many years, according to their story, they have no heating, the sewer had been brought up to full deterioration; they have no gas and hot water supplies. Cold water supply is not stable; and on March 15 the tenants reported that they had no electricity since February 9.

The order to help the tenants in solving their problems was given by the Mayor, when he met – at his personal reception session at the Adler district administration – with the initiative group of the tenants.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Svetlana Evseeva, a member of the initiative group, that the Mayor acknowledged at the meeting that the problem should be solved. "In our presence, instructions were given to different housing services, the legal department and a representative of the electricity supplier," said the woman.

"The Mayor has promised to solve the problem within a month. We had waited for much longer; therefore, we want to believe that once we have been finally noticed with the help of the media, the situation might change," said Andrei Mahler, another tenants of the house.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the Sochi Mayoralty about the today's meeting.
