Over 200 people participated in the "Russian jog" in Anapa

Russian nationalists from Krasnodar, Slaviyansk-on-Kuban, Novorossiysk, the stanitsa of Dinskaya, Armavir and other places of Rostov and Stavropol regions came to take part in the "Russian jog". The action passed off without incidents.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on April, 1, there was a scuffle between the participants of the "Russian jog" and representatives of Armenian diaspora. The conflict in Anapa caused a broad response on the Internet. Reports of a new action which the organizers called a "raid of a peacemaking squadron" appointed on April, 8, were placed on the social networks.

On that day a strengthened control was established in Anapa. The police personnel inspected every bus arriving at the local bus terminal since morning.

At 11:05 eight nationalists from Krasnodar were detained for establishing identity. They were taken to the police office in the bus terminal where their data was recorded. One of the officers suggested those detained to pronounce their names and birthdates for the audio track. After a brief inspection the citizens were released. A minibus with nationalists from Slaviyansk-on-Kuban and Krasnodar was stopped at the entrance of the town.

The nationalists' assemblage was announced near the staff of local community of Kuban Cossack army. A big group was waiting in the embankment, near the monument to "The White Hat". The Cossacks of Anapa took part in the action.

One of the organizers of the action, Maxim Petrenko, Assistant Deputy of State Duma Vladimir Ovsiyannikov (LDPR), and Andrey Gribko, official of regional PR Department, who specially arrived to settle the conflict arranged to organize a joint round table conference and discuss the situation.

However, the dialogue failed for the organizers of the action were dissatisfied with the fact that just an ordinary employee of the Administration with no power to decide and carry out any obligations had come to talk to them.

In his turn, Andrey Gribko told those present at the conference that "an inquiry on the scuffle of April, 1, is in process and the participants are established from both parties". "According to the information I had as of yesterday evening, both parties reached an agreement of reconciliation. The incident is over as of today", Gribko declared on April, 8.

Saturday, April, 7, a meeting between the conflicting parties was held during which they decided not to foment the conflict. There were no athletes injured in the scuffle among active participants of the action.

One more "Russian jog" started at 13:30 today. Over 200 nationalists drawn up in columns four persons each ran about the central streets of the health resort. A standard bearer with an imperial black and yellow and white flag and a young man with a red banner of the "Russian jogs" were in front of the procession. A Road Patrol Service car was following the athletes. On their way the nationalists chanted: "On we go, Russians!", "One who is Russian is sober!"

The by-passers produced different reaction: some welcomed the action and repeated the nationalists' slogans, others called the joggers "fascists". No conflict emerged between the passers-by and the participants of the jog.

As a result, the participants of the action broke up without any round table. According to Andrey Gribko, he was standing at the site waiting but the organizer himself did not arrive. In his turn, Maxim Petrenko explained the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on account of the jog the guys were half an hour late, therefore the authorities cancelled the meeting.

The participants of the action peacefully went home. The Krasnodar column of two minibuses and a car was escorted by the Road Patrol Service car with a working alarm signal down to the entrance of the town.
