Lysakov from "United Russia" saw no gross violations on the videos from the election in Astrakhan

During 10 hours, from 20:00. April, 16, till 6 o'clock this morning, Head of Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Russian Federation Vladimir Churov and ex-candidate for Mayor's office of Astrakhan Oleg Sheiyn viewed 42 video records with obvious violations, in Sheiyn's opinion, out of 202, Viacheslav Lysakov, Deputy from "United Russia" who was present during the scan time in the building of CEC, reported.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" informed that Oleg Sheiyn who came to Moscow by plane on April, 16, started viewing the video records of the election in the polling stations of Astrakhan together with Head of CEC of the Russian Federation Vladimir Churov in the evening of April, 16.

In Lysakov's opinion, the violations found "could hardly influence the results of this election" even summarily. He thinks that the video records they viewed demonstrate only "episodes of improper behaviour of members of the election committees that should result in disciplinary action" for they are of "procedural nature", RIA "Novosti" reports.

Deputy Chairman of CEC Leonid Ivlev thinks that there is "no action" on the videos from the polling stations of Astrakhan. "You can get 2200 files but you will not be able to view them by June even if you start today. But I tell you once again that there is no action, nothing at all there", "FederalPress" quotes Ivlev.

Sheiyn himself said that the videos would be actively downloaded on the Net "for everyone to be able to see them and arrive at one's own conclusion on what was going on in the polling stations of Astrakhan".

  • Religion experts explain motives for militants’ attacks on synagogue and temple in Dagestan

Ayats (verses) of the Koran, references to which were left by attackers at a synagogue in Derbent, are interpreted by the extremists to justify their confrontation with Jews and Christians, Leonid Syukiyainen and Dmitry Mikulsky point out. The experts suggest that the date of the attack on the Orthodox temple was chosen by the militants because of the Christian holiday celebrated on that day.
