About a hundred persons come out to protest in Kabardino-Balkaria

In the city of Baksan, about a hundred people blocked a bridge on the federal highway. One of the protesters has explained that people were outraged with the fact that they could not get the body of the local resident, who was shot dead last night.

On April 20, in Kabardino-Balkaria, policemen tried to stop a Lada Priora car. According to the Investigatory Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), Takhir Khandokhov, who was driving the car, rendered armed resistance and was killed by return fire.

"We went to the morgue to pick up the body and bury it, but they refused to give it out," a man who introduced himself as a casualty's relative told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He said that the protesters would keep standing until they get the body, even till morning, if necessary. According to his story, the casualty was a wrestling coach and committed nothing illegal.

According to preliminary data of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the casualty was a 29-year-old resident of Baksan, who was an accomplice of IAF (illegal armed formation) members operating in the Baksan District.
