On April 19, the "Armavia" Airline completed a flight Yerevan-Milan-Yerevan, where 50 Italian tourists were the passengers.

A Sukhoy Superjet-100 aircraft was used for the flight. From now on the Yerevan-Milan-Yerevan flights will be carried out once every four days. With the increase of demand flights can be performed oftener, said Aram Yegiyan, the crew commander.

The flight from Yerevan to Milan takes 4 hours; the return one – 3.5 hours.

The Airline has opened new direct flights to Milan, Amman, Amristsar and Stockholm; and in summer they plan to resume passenger flights to Birmingham, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Lyon, Paris and Marseille, said Nana Avetisova, the press secretary of the "Armavia".

She noted that the Airline continues its policy of expanding and updating its fleet operations. At the moment, the "Armavia" operates models CRJ-200 by the Canadian Company Bombardier, an Airbus A321, a Yak-42, a Sukhoy Superjet 100, and an American Boeing.

Ms Avetisova has added that in late April, the "Transaero", with which in 2011 the "Armavia" signed a code-sharing agreement on joint operation of Moscow-Yerevan-Moscow flights, will start Yerevan-Moscow-Los Angeles flights.
