Relatives of the supporters of Alla Djioeva, ex-candidate for the position of the President of South Ossetia, convicted in North Ossetia, appealed to Leonid Tibilov, the President of the Republic, asking for help in their release.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in early December of 2011, in Vladikavkaz, Soslan Kokoev, a supporter of the Alla Djioeva's headquarters, was arrested. On December 27, Genry Kachmazov, the administrator of the website "Uasamonga", was detained. They were charged of possession of drugs and weapons.

On April 10, in Vladikavkaz, Soslan Kokoev, the founder and the editor of the website "Uasamonga", was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment at the common security colony for possession of drugs.

On May 16, the Soviet District Court of Vladikavkaz sentenced Genry Kachmazov, the administrator of the website "Uasamonga", to 3 years of imprisonment at the common security colony.

Genry Kachmazov did not admit his guilty. Lawyer Uruzmag Kasaev stated that his client was innocent and that the verdict would be challenged. Soslan Kokoev also does not admit his guilt.

According to the authors of the appeal to the President of South Ossetia, present time is suitable for release of all supporters of Alla Djioeva, detained and convicted in North Ossetia.

"It is no secret that the men became bargaining chips in the fight of the Kremlin-connected grouping that at that moment oversaw the South-Ossetian direction of Russian foreign policy towards the elected, but not recognized President of the Republic of South Ossetia. At that time, the election results were cancelled, and Alla Djioeva, being under severe pressure, had to give up her victory. That fact untied hands of some officials to fabricate criminal cases against her supporters, and in a short time, they faced trials at the courts of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania," said in the appeal to the President.

The appeal was signed by Robert Kokoev, Venera Kokoeva, Zarina Kokoeva, Anna Kokoeva, Alan Kokoev, Gennady Ostaev, Emma Kachmazova, Saida Kachmazova, Lana Ostaeva, Dina Ostaeva, Esmeralda Kachmazova, Svetlana Kachmazova, Alena Kadjaeva, Eduard Kochiev, Katerina Kochieva, Artur Pliev, Albert Pliev, Stanislav Bagaev, Suliko Bagaev, and Venera Kokoeva.
