Citizens' rally near Kirov ROVD dispersed in Makhachkala

In the capital of Dagestan, policemen have dispersed an assembly of about 100 relatives and friends of the persons detained in a special operation in Yubileinaya Street.

Tonight, when detainees' relatives and friends came to the building of the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division), a scuffle with policemen burst out; and the power agents began shooting into the air.

Serazhutdin Datsiev, an employee of the HRC "Memorial", was also detained near the Kirov ROVD; later he was released. Now, the police still keep Angela Dalgatova, Abdurakhman Magomedov and Fatima Nurmagomedova, who surrendered to the police during the special operation in Yubileinaya Street.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the situation near the ROVD remained tense all the time.

Initially, there were some minor incidents: policemen broke the equipment of one of protesters, when he tried to make video; then, stones and plastic bottles were thrown at the ROVD building.

Then, a scuffle burst out between the protesters and the police. Policemen began pushing the crowd outside the territory of the ROVD; they responded with stones; as a result power agents opened fire into the air.

Some people were detained; however, nobody knows how many. Now, the ROVD building is completely surrounded by policemen. The protesters have returned to their homes.
