In Makhachkala, about 600 persons attend rally organized by relatives and friends of murdered Gamzatov brothers

Today, Makhachkala hosted a rally, which participants demanded to investigate the murder of Gamzatov brothers and their nephew Magomed Omarov, who were shot dead on March 18 in Kizlyar. In total, the protest action was attended by about 600 persons: residents of Kizlyar, Makhachkala, the Kizlyar and the Tsumadin Districts, and natives of the Tsumadin Districts residing in Astrakhan.

Let us remind you that Magomed Gamzatov, the deputy of the City Assembly, his brothers Osman Yusup and Gazidibir, and his nephew Magomed Omarov were killed, according to their relatives' information, after a quarrel with a security guard of Andrei Vinogradov, the head of the District, who parked his car in the parking lot owned by Gamzatov.

During the protest action, the relatives of the Gamzatov brothers planned to put forward demands to bring the case to the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and to institute a criminal case against Andrei Vinogradov.

Today, the place of the rally near the Avar Theatre was cordoned off by at least 600 armed law enforcement agents, and in the vicinities, armoured personnel vehicles with uncovered machine guns and KAMAZ trucks with numerous OMON (riot police) fighters stood. People were allowed to pass to the event only after searching and passing through a metal detector.
