At the trial on Shein's lawsuit the court completed consideration of the evidence from Divisional Election Committee of Lenin district

Viewing the video records from Divisional Election Committee (DEC) of Lenin district of Astrakhan was accomplished at the trial on the lawsuit of ex-candidate for Mayor's Office of the city Oleg Shein.

"Today we were viewing the videos for the whole day. Even we had not expected to see such things. Soldiers were brought to the polling stations. A man wearing a cap who arrived at two o'clock at night was explaining in half a thieves' cant that he was the boss. The tables were set in two lines and the ballot papers were counted in some invisible niches", Oleg Shein wrote in his blog.

According to ex-candidate, on the video records produced in court one can see ballot papers with votes for Stolyarov "folded up in big batches, without demonstration or pronouncement, besides, our papers were regularly found among them".

According to Shein, consideration of the evidence on the DEC of Sovietsky district will start at a session of May, 25.

It should be reminded that at the session of May, 23, the attorney of the defendant, i.e. Municipal Election Committee, declared that no witnesses on Lenin district would be entered. Shein's witnesses evidenced a great number of violations at the polling stations during voting.

Later the defendants commented on their decision.

"We decided not to enter our witnesses because those of the opposite party on Lenin district did not evidence violations serious enough to influence estimation of the expression of popular will. For this reason we decided not to waste the court's time delaying the trial and confine ourselves to written evidence we submitted to the court", "Point A" media quotes the Chairman of Municipal Election Committee.
