Abkhazia accuses Georgian secret services of killing three persons in Gali

As stated today by the State Security Service (SSS) of Abkhazia, the murder on May 28 in the city of Gali of two officers of the local interior division – Leonid Kvitsiniya and Davy Buava – and a local resident Gultazi Kolbaya was committed by the members of a sabotage and intelligence group, sent from Georgia under the order of the Georgian special services.

In the afternoon on May 28, in downtown Gal, in the cafe "Cinderella" unidentified persons shot dead Leonid Kvitsiniya, an employee of Road-and-Post Service of the Gali ROVD (District Interior Division), Davy Buava, a detective of the criminal investigation of the ROVD, and Gultazi Kolbaya, a resident of the village of Nabakia. The attackers managed to escape.

According to the SSS of Abkhazia, according to eyewitnesses, the attackers spoke Georgian among themselves.

The SSS has also noted that Malkhaz Rurua, a citizen of Georgia and a member of the Georgian sabotage and intelligence group, who was detained in March 2012 in the village of Pen, Gali District, said during the preliminary investigation that his group consisted of four agents and was sent to Abkhazia with a mission to liquidate Davy Buava.

"Earlier, the group was a part of the gang 'Forest Brothers' commanded by Slavik Bigvava, who is now taking his service in the official power structures of Georgia; the gang had a mission to liquidate law enforcers of Abkhazia," the SSS of Abkhazia has emphasized.

So far, the Georgian party gave no comments on the allegations.
