In Adygea, 30 children with disabilities participate in charity action "Volunteers to Children"

The Republic of Adygea has completed the charity event "Volunteers to Children", which was attended by 30 children with disabilities aged 3-15 from all over the republic. This was reported by Galimet Beshkok, the head of the department for rehabilitation of children with disabilities of the Maikop Social Rehabilitation Centre for Minors.

The action, aimed at supporting children with disabilities, was held in Adygea from May to June. During the month, the participants could take part in four events: sporting competitions, free attendance of the amusement park in Maikop and the exhibitions of the National Museum of Adygea; and 23 children visited the exhibition of monkeys also held in the capital. The action was over on June 7.

At all the events children were accompanied by their parents, social workers and psychologists of the Centre, as well as volunteers – students of the Maikop Humanities and Technical College of the Adyg State University.

"Children are happy to once again meet the students," Dmitry Shlyamov, the father of one of the participants, said smiling.

"Great thanks to students; they were very helpful – our children have played a lot; and we, parents, had some rest. Personally I rarely take my child to the park, because I'm very busy; besides, entertainments there are rather expensive," said Vera Ignatieva, the mother of many children, whose 10-year-old son was involved in the action.

"Children are waiting for such actions. For my 8-year-old daughter visits to the park and trips to the nature are frequent, but it's much more interesting to attend events together with other children. Here, also students have joined the action. They are very caring and kind. Let them remain as such more!" said Svetlana Gonezhukm the mother of a girl-participant in the action.

According to volunteers, they will continue to communicate with their new friends after campaign.
