Quarrel in "Harsnaqar" Restaurant started after waiter reproved Avetyan's clothes, investigators report

The Chief Investigatory Department of the Armenian Police has presented details of the incident at the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant in Yerevan, where Vage Avetyan, the military doctor, perished as a result of fight. According to investigators, the quarrel between the staff members of the restaurant and the military doctors erupted after a waiter reproved clothes of Vage Avetyan.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, on June 17, military doctors Vage Avetyan, Artak Bayadyan, Garik Sogomonyan, Edgar Nikoyan, and Arkady Agadjanyan celebrated birthday of Agadjanyan in Arzni. "Then, they decided to listen to music and continue the fun in the 'Harsnaqar' Restaurant Complex," the website of the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia reports.

The investigators revealed that the restaurant waiter told Vage Avetyan that entering the restaurant in sportswear is prohibited, and after that Vage Avetyan went home, changed his clothes and returned. When the waiter returned to the table of Vage Avetyan, the latter asked, whether entering the restaurant in a cap is not prohibited, and that fact led to the quarrel between them.

The waiter David Adamyan asked Vage Avetyan to go to the yard, to the left entrance of the restaurant summer hall, where he hit him in his face with the fist. According to the Prosecutor's Office, they were approached by Garik Margaryan, Arthur Babloyan, Arman Khachatryan, Norair Airapetyan, and Armand Bagdasaryan, the restaurant staff members. Under the pretext to settle the quarrel, they accompanied Vage Avetyan and his friends in a parking lot, where they beat Vage Avetyan, Artak Bayadyan, Garik Sogomonyan, Arkady Agadjanyan, and Edgar Nikoyan.

The forensic examination confirmed that Vage Avetyan got numerous serious injuries, as a result of which the military doctor died on June 29. Bodily injuries of Artak Bayadyan and Garik Sogomonyan were assessed as moderate, and Arkady Agadjanyan and Edgar Nikoyan got no injuries.
