In September, 83 persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In September 2012, at least 83 persons fell victims to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of these, 58 persons were killed and 25 wounded. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot" based on own materials of the edition and information from open sources.

Dagestan occupies the first place by the number of victims. There, in the past month, about 32 persons suffered. Of these, 23 persons were killed and 9 were wounded. During the special operations against members of illegal armed formations (IAFs), and as a result of terror acts and attacks, at least 3 staff member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and other power agencies. 9 persons got wounds of varying severity. 16 suspected members of the armed underground were killed. As a result of militant attacks, 4 civilians were killed.

In Chechnya, 22 persons suffered. Of these, 9 persons were killed and 13 were wounded. 5 power agents were killed. 4 suspected members of illegal armed formations were killed. 12 power agents 1 suspected member of the armed underground were wounded.

In Ingushetia, 14 persons suffered. Of these, 12 persons were killed and 2 were wounded. 7 law enforcement agents were killed. 5 suspected IAF members were killed. 1 law enforcement agent and 1 civilian were killed.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, 12 suspected IAF members were killed in the armed conflict.

In North Ossetia, 3 persons suffered. 2 suspected IAF members were killed, and 1 soldier was wounded.

In Karachay-Cherkessia and in the Stavropol Territory, in the past month, no one suffered in the armed conflict.

Let us remind you that in the second quarter of 2012, according to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", at least 355 persons fell victims to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of these, 169 persons were killed and 186 were wounded.
