Refugees who departed for Chechnya are left to mercy of fate

Families of Chechen refugees who departed for Chechnya from the Satsita tent camp the day before yesterday have been forsaken in the street in fact. The Aslakhanov, Murtazov, Basayev, Batayev, Dukayev, and Shakayev families were promised they would be lodged in a temporary accommodation center in Grozny.

However when the families of internally displaced persons came to that center, it turned out that all the places there were occupied and there were nowhere to settle the newly arrived. The people spent a night in the street. They called to the Satsita camp and warned camp inhabitants against believing the authorities' promises.
