Chitaya: shipments of "Borjomi" to Russia to scale up

A test batch of mineral water "Borjomi" has passed the customs control, Olga Chitaya, a representative of the company "IDS Borjomi Russia", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, the batch is a trial: it is planned that the mineral water will get into all the large and medium-sized retailers.

"So far, we don't specify particular networks. We have final agreements with some of them, and just started negotiations with others. Obviously, we cannot immediately bring enough water to cover the entire country. The volume of shipments will increase gradually," said Ms Chitaya.

She added that the first batch will go to Moscow and St Petersburg, then – to all the megacities with the population of over one million. It is also planned to import "Borjomi" to the south of Russia, in spite of strong competition.

The company has supply agreements with all networks in Russia; the water will go on the shelves in early June, said Alexander Zhadanov, Director General of the "IDS Borjomi Russia".
