Ingush refugees return to North Osetia
On March 16, for the first time in 11 years, 3 Ingush families (out of 44 Ingush refugee families in the list presented by the Ingush State Committee on Refugees and Displaced Persons) were officially allowed in the village of Yuzny, North Osetia's Prigorodny district. The action for refugees' return to the "zone closed for the Ingushetians" is conducted under the aegis of the Office of the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Resolution of the Osetian-Ingush Conflict. First Deputy Chairman of the Ingush State Committee on Refugees and Displaced Persons Mr Gaytukiyev told it to a Regnum correspondent. According to him, there have never been problems in everyday life between the Osetins and Ingushetians. The situation has been aggravated by local officials for all these years.
