Stavropol rights defenders to consult draftees
The Public Youth Rights Reception Office project has been launched in Stavropol. It is a joint project of the interregional youth public charitable organization Caucasian Youth Human Rights League and the Stavropol regional youth public charitable organization Stavropol Territory Young Lawyers Association. "Within the framework of the project, we are going to consult draftees and their parents on the issues of reinstatement of their rights violated during the draft, of getting legal draft postponement, and of their right to substitute alternative civil service for military one," said chairman of the Stavropol Territory Young Lawyers Association Roman Gushchin. "We implement the project in spite of the fact that the Department of Justice in Stavropol Territory refused to register us on March 1," noted chairman of the Caucasian Youth Human Rights League Maksim Abrakhimov. We will judicially appeal against the denial to register us. The date of the first sitting has already been fixed - March 29. The project is carried out with the use of funds of members of the organization and donations from natural and juridical persons.
