In Armenia, at trial on case on Artak Nazaryan's death, prosecutor calls motion for his disqualification unjustified
Today, Public Prosecutor Arutyun Arutyunyan has stated that he treats as unjustified the motion for his disqualification filed to the Court of Appeal by victims in the case of the death of Lieutenant Artak Nazaryan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that yesterday, on July 29, relatives of convicted persons and representatives of Tsovinar Nazaryan, the sister of the deceased Lieutenant, demanded to disqualify the Prosecutor and to carry out the re-consideration of the case on the death of Lieutenant that occurred on July 27, 2010.
At the today's session of the Court of Appeal, Prosecutor Arutyun Arutyunyan himself commented on the motion for his disqualification. He called the demand sides unjustified, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The judicial board again, like yesterday, postponed the consideration of the motion, explaining that initially, the decision about the very order of consideration of claims is to be made.
The next court session is scheduled for August 1.
