In Dagestan, local residents report on murder of public figure

Tonight, Abdulla Gappaev, a resident of Kizlyar, was murdered by unidentified men. According to the statement of Bilal Magomedov, an activist of the "Soyuz Spravedlivykh" (League of Righteous) Party, the murdered man was a public and religious figure.

The crime was committed not far from the house of the murdered man. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Bilal Magomedov.

"The murder was committed at about 11:00 p.m., when Abdulla Gappaev was returning home. He got several gunshot wounds and died on the way to the hospital. The murderers fled the place of the crime," the party activist told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the Bilal Magomedov's story, "the murdered man was a faithful man, and he gave much support to the 'Soyuz Spravedlivykh'; however, he was not a follower of radical views." Bilal Magomedov associates the Abdulla Gappaev's murder with his religious and social activities.
