Circassian activists raise money to make "memory ribbons" for the end of Russian-Caucasian War

Members of the organization named "Adygekhem Ya Duney" hold fundraising with the aim to make "memory ribbons", dated to May 21 – the 150th anniversary of the end of the Russian-Caucasian War. For the whole Circassian community, this is a day of memory and sorrow.

The start of fundraising was announced on March 25, said Beslan Teuvazhev, one of the activists of the "Adygekhem Ya Duney".

"This is not a call to something. It is a memory, the feeling that lives in us," he added.

According to his story, the action is held for the sixth time.

Larissa Khadipash, another activist of the organization, said that the action of making the "memory ribbons" may become a symbol of spiritual unity and incentive to study the tragic history of Circassians.

According to her story, "their organization is implementing various projects aimed at the unification of the Circassian people and revitalization of the nation's cultural and historical heritage."
