Some mosque detainees were released in Dagestan

In Dagestan, locals have reported that the parishioners detained in various mosques were released. In his turn, a source from the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said that they had detained people without documents to establish their identity.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to eyewitnesses, on Friday in several mosques in Dagestan – in Kotrov and Hungarian Warriors Streets of Makhachkala, and in Shamhal settlement – power agents conducted mass detentions of parishioners; similar raids were conducted in the city of Izberbash.

In total, at least 20 people were delivered to the Sovietskiy ROVD, said one of the parishioners of the mosque in Kotrov Street of Makhachkala.

The Dagestani Prosecutor's Office refused to accept mosque-goers' oral complaints about detentions, said Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy). According to her story, the detainees were fingerprinted and photographed.
