FSB reports on suspension of three checkpoints on Russian-Ukrainian border in Rostov Region
In the Rostov Region, operation of three checkpoints on the Russian-Ukrainian border has been suspended because of the ongoing shooting in the adjacent Ukrainian territory in the closest vicinity of the Russian border. This was told to the agency "Interfax-South" by Vasily Malaev, Spokesperson of the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB for the Rostov Region.
"Three checkpoints "Donetsk", "Novoshakhtinsk", and "Gukovo" are temporarily on suspend because of the shooting in the Ukrainian side and the threat of bombing of objects on the Russian checkpoints," the "Interfax" quotes Vasily Malaev as saying.
According to Vasily Malaev, staff members of customs posts and other regulatory authorities were evacuated from the border checkpoints in safe places.
Let us remind you that on July 10, as a result of actions of the Ukrainian power agents, the Russian checkpoint "Gukovo" was shelled by the artillery, no one was injured. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). According to the MFA, at the moment of the shelling, about 230 refugees from the territory of Ukraine stayed in the vicinity of the Russian checkpoint, and they were evacuated to a safe place.
