Armenian Investigating Committee accuses Azerbaijani militaries of kidnapping Karen Petrosyan

The information obtained during the investigation into the criminal case instituted on the fact of the death of Karen Petrosyan, a resident of the border village of Chinari, captured by the Azerbaijani side, gives reason to consider the version of his kidnapping from the Armenian territory. This was stated by the Investigating Committee of Armenia.

There are reasons to believe that Karen Petrosyan was kidnapped, announced Sona Truzyan, the Press Secretary of the Investigating Committee of Armenia. According to her, Karen Petrosyan could hardly cross the border unscathed through mine-studded neutral territory and enter the territory of Azerbaijan.

Investigators hope to reveal soon the whole picture of the events that took place in the territory of Armenia. According to the Investigating Committee of Armenia, it is difficult to speak of what had happened on the Azerbaijani side, while the Karen Petrosyan's body is not giving out to the Armenian side.

Samvel Sagoyan, the head of the Chinari village administration, treats as slander the information disseminated by the Azerbaijani side that Karen Petrosyan was a commando. According to SamvelSagoyan,Karen Petrosyan was a farmer engaged inworking at landandkeeping cattle.

Let us remind you that the Armenian side has already appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) asking for assistance in returning the Karen Petrosyan's body.
