In KChR, "Communists of Russia" and "Rot Front" complain about unjustified withdrawal of their candidates from elections

The "Russian United Labour Front" (Rot Front) and the "Communists of Russia" Parties treat the withdrawal of their candidates from the elections to the Parliament and district soviets of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) held on September 14 as an ungrounded and politically motivated decision. This was stated by members of the Parties.

In the territory of KChR, 161 candidates from the "Communists of Russia" Party were registered to participate in the elections to the municipal councils and the Parliament of the KChR, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Eduard Marshankulov, a member of the "Communists of Russia" Party.

"Only two candidates manage to participate in the elections, including a candidate to the council of the Nogai District and a candidate to the council of the Adyge-Khabl District. 159 candidates from the 'Communists of Russia' Party were de-registered under pressure from the authorities and law enforcement bodies," Eduard Marshankulov has stated.

He believes that "such actions represent unlawful attitude to electoral rights of citizens and the specific party."
