Head of Dagestani militants swears to "Islamic State"

Abu Mukhammad, Amir of Dagestan, said that he takes an oath to the "Islamic State" (IS). This is the second time in Dagestan within the last month, when the leaders of militants' formations take an oath to the IS; and both of these cases indicate a split in the "Imarat Kavkaz", recognized as a terrorist organization.

Together with Abu Mukhammad, Amir of Dagestan, the oath was brought by Abu Mukhammad of Agachaul, one of the commanders of the militants operating in the so-called "Shamilkalin Sector", which covers Makhachkala.

The video, where the head of Dagestani militants and the commander of the so-called "Shamilkalin Sector" swear the oath to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is posted on the YouTube.

In his recorded speech, Abu Mukhammad urged other members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) to follow his example. He stressed that he took the oath on behalf of all the militants operating in Dagestan, the largest republic of Northern Caucasus.

Let us note here that Abu Mukhammad, Amir of Dagestan, earlier performed on behalf of the leadership Dagestani IAFs on the militant-supporting websites.

Earlier, activists of "Imarat Kavkaz", which is banned by court decision, never made public statements regarding the "Islamic State".
