Ibragim Todashev's family to sue FBI in connection with his death
The father of Ibragim Todashev, a native of Chechnya, who was killed by an FBI agent during his questioning about the terror act during the Boston Marathon, said that he was preparing a lawsuit against the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the amount of 30 million US dollars in connection with his son's murder.
The 26-year-old Ibragim Todashev was shot dead on May 22, 2013, by an FBI agent during his interrogation in connection with the terror act in Boston and the triple murder committed in Waltham in 2011, of which Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a Todashev's acquaintance and one of the alleged perpetrators of the terror act, who was killed during detention, was suspected.
The father, Abdulbaki Todashev has announced his intention to file a notification to the FBI about his claim in connection with his son's death.
"We've started this process aiming to achieve justice for our son and bring to liability those guilty of his murder. He fell victim of a cold-blooded murder," Abdulbaki Todashev said on March 2 as quoted by The Boston Globe.
"I'm sure of my son's innocence. I've said before and I state it now – I'll seek justice," said Abdulbaki Todashev.
