CTO regime introduced in Prigorodny District of North Ossetia

In North Ossetia, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the village of Novy of the Prigorodny District. Power agents are searching for members of the armed underground in the vicinity of the administrative border with Ingushetia.

According to a source in the FSB Department, at present, the operational headquarters of North Ossetia has information about the possible location of members of the armed underground in one of the villages of the Prigorodny District.

The CTO regime was announced at 6:00 a.m. Moscow time. For the period of the CTO regime, the entry of people and vehicles in the territory of the village of Novy is restricted; moreover, according to the FSB Department, people, their belongings and vehicles are to be physically inspected.

Earlier, the CTO regime was introduced in the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia on August 7, 2014. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the FSB Department, the special operations were carried out in order to prevent possible terror acts.
