In Makhachkala, law enforcers start training exercises to rescue hostages

Today, in the territory of the Children's General Hospital in the capital of Dagestan, law enforcers are holding joint training and tactical exercises to rescue hostages.

According to an official from the operational headquarters for Dagestan, the training exercises will last for 3-4 hours. They are attended by staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the Federal Security Service (FSB), and the Department for Dagestan of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN), the Prosecutor's Office, and other services, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

During the training and tactical exercises, it was suggested that the terrorists took the staff and patients of the Children's Hospital as hostages, the "AIF-Dagestan" reports. According to the edition, the operational headquarters for Dagestan promised to report the results of the training exercises when completed.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the military training exercises on the territory of Dagestan. On October 8, the press service of the Southern Military District reported on the completion on the military training ground "Dalny" (Far) of the exercises on the hidden transfer and landing of paratroopers, as well as support of columns of military vehicles. On September 8, vessels and units of marine forces stationed in Makhachkala were given in full combat readiness within a sudden inspection of forces of the Central Military District.
