Mother of Leyla Chemurzieva denies law enforcers' statements about her daughter's involvement in armed underground

The mother of Leyla Chemurzieva, a woman, wounded in a special operation in Nazran, has appealed to the Ingush authorities, the Prosecutor's Office, and human rights defenders. She calls on to prevent the violation of the rights of her daughter, suspected of relationships with the killed leaders of the armed underground.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, in Nazran, law enforcers killed Beslan Makhauri, the leader of the Ingush militants, and Ilyas Vedzizhev, the leader of the "Nazran" criminal grouping. Leyla Chemurzieva, born in 1984, was also wounded. She is a widow of Tachiev, an active member of the armed underground, who had been killed earlier. According to the National Antiterrorist Operation (NAC), the woman played the role of communication agent for the militants.

According to the mother of Leyla Chemurzieva, on October 31, Leyla took a car to go to the hospital to visit her sick friend.

"She said that when she was driving near the place of the shootout, she saw a large concentration of law enforcers, who demanded from her to stop her car. Their request frightened her. Being scared, Leyla tried to drive away from them; however, her car was shelled, and she got several gunshot wounds," states the mother of Leyla Chemurzieva in her appeal.

According to Ortskhanova, her daughter is a single mother of three children, and she "was never involved in anything illegal."

Earlier, the NAC has reported that the woman, accompanied by Beslan Makhauri and Ilyas Vedzizhev, was wounded when she was trying to break through the police cordon in her car.
