In the course of the CTO, law enforcers killed Yuri Bitsuev, one of the leaders of the local militant grouping, which had earlier sworn allegiance to the "Islamic State" (IS), the news agency "RBC" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.
According to the NAC, the militants killed near Nalchik were "engaged in the organization of channels for transportation of residents of the republic to the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic for their participation in the activities of terrorist groupings," the RIA "Novosti" reports.
