ICRF asks to soften pre-trial restriction measure against woman accused in case of terror act in "Domodedovo" Airport

Investigators have filed a motion to change the pre-trial restriction measure against Svetlana Trishina, arrested in the case of the terror act committed in 2011, since her minor child is in need of constant care.

On February 9, the court pronounced the decision to arrest three defendants in the case of the terror act in 2011, including Vyacheslav Nekrasov, the former director of the airport, Andrei Danilov, the former manager of aviation security, and Svetlana Trishina, the former airport top manager. On February 12, the Prosecutor's Office challenged the court's decision.

On January 24, 2011, a terror act was committed at the "Domodedovo" Airport. As a result of the explosion, 37 persons were killed and other 172 were injured. According to investigators, the explosive device was activated by Magomed Evloev, a suicide bomber lost in a welcoming crowd.

The investigators explain the motion to mitigate the pre-trial restriction measure against Svetlana Trishina, the former director of the Russian representative office of the "Airport Management Company Limited", by the fact that they "received additional information about a minor child in need of constant care," reports the press service of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on February 18, Dmitry Kamenschik, a co-owner of the "Domodedovo" Airport, was detained in the case of the terror act. He is also charged with providing services failing to meet safety requirements.
